Tour the Chic Office of a DTLA Venture Capital Firm

by Colin King March 08, 2017

Located in Los Angeles’s thriving Arts District, the industrial-influenced open space is home to Greycroft Partners. Greycroft is a leading venture capital firm focused on investments in the Internet and mobile markets such as Trunk Club, TheRealReal and Huffington Post.

Seeking our design expertise, the VC firm enlisted our help. We needed to multitask with open spaces for chatting and collaborating with others but also offer private spaces as well. We always strive to bring a residential comfort into any commercial project. The essence of the brand needs to be felt in the space. With such stylish investments, the offices of the firm needed to be chic, modern and on-trend. In this space, we kept the industrial feel with light fixtures and select furniture pieces to reflect the bones of the building. To bring warmth, texture and the eclectic vibe the client requested, we created comfortable lounge areas. We wanted the space to feel comfortable, livable and inspiring for the employees as well as the clients who come to visit the office.

A key aspect to the design was to be able to showcase the works of local artists. The opted to display works from Saatchi Art which they had formally invested in before it was acquired by Demand Media. The art gives the office that homey feel while adding unique color and texture to the lofty space.
