Our Favorite High-Contrast Kitchens

by Jonathan Steinitz July 05, 2017

We love to design rooms with wow factor that speak to you as soon as you enter. That’s one reason why contrast has become a pillar of Consort, an iconic component of our designs. The high impact of light and dark juxtaposed in the same space builds a bold sense of balance.

Since we firmly believe that the kitchen is the heart of the home, what better place to create a high-contrast look? Whether it be a modern black-and-white breakfast nook or a classic navy-and-white cabinet combination, contrast gives a kitchen a bright, clean, and crisp appeal that’s conducive to cooking, eating, or entertaining. Backsplashes, countertops, accent walls, cabinets, hardware, and lighting are just a few of the tricks we have up our sleeves when it comes to creating contrast.
